EtherNet/IP is an industrial automation network protocol based on Ethernet technology, developed by Rockwell Automation and managed by the Open DeviceNet Vendors Association (ODVA). As part of the Common Industrial Protocol (CIP), it is widely used in industrial automation control systems.

Purpose of Certification

The Ethernet/IP certification is designed to ensure that Ethernet/IP devices developed by different manufacturers comply with a unified communication protocol standard, thereby achieving interoperability and interchangeability between devices. Passing the certification ensures that devices on an Ethernet/IP network can be seamlessly integrated, improving the overall performance and reliability of industrial automation systems. At the same time, certification helps reduce the complexity of system integration and maintenance, and promotes the adoption and development of industrial automation technology.

Application Fields

As an advanced industrial automation communication protocol, Ethernet/IP is widely applied across many industries thanks to its efficiency, reliability and scalability, among which electronics manufacturing and the automotive industry are two of the most important application areas.

Automotive

With its high transmission rates, low latency and strong reliability, the Ethernet/IP protocol has become an important component of in-vehicle network architectures.

Through the Ethernet/IP protocol, vehicles can achieve real-time communication and data exchange between various electronic control units (ECUs), improving vehicle performance and safety.

Electronics Manufacturing

Ethernet/IP can connect various devices on a production line, such as PLCs (programmable logic controllers), sensors and actuators, enabling data exchange and communication between devices.

The Ethernet/IP protocol enables seamless connection and data exchange between devices of different manufacturers and types, providing strong technical support for the electronics manufacturing industry. With Ethernet/IP, companies can build more flexible and efficient intelligent manufacturing systems, improving production efficiency and response speed.

A milestone in iNexBot's technological innovation: the company's first product has passed the Ethernet/IP conformance test, opening a new chapter in intelligent interconnection.

Riding the wave of technological innovation, iNexBot Technology — with outstanding technical strength, an unrelenting spirit of exploration, and after more than a year of dedicated development — has successfully passed the Ethernet/IP conformance test with its first product. This marks a solid step forward for iNexBot in the field of industrial automation, contributing to the creation of an easier life in the robot age: intelligent, simple and interconnected.

While greatly encouraged by passing the test, iNexBot is also clearly aware that there is still a long way to go. In the current first phase, only the Adapter function has been implemented. In the next phase, iNexBot will focus its efforts on the development and testing of the Scanner — an important component of industrial automation networks whose implementation will greatly expand the application scenarios and flexibility of the devices. In other words, iNexBot will deliver higher-performance, more widely applicable products in the future and further enhance the user experience.

Innovation knows no bounds; iNexBot is always on the move. We believe that in the wave of intelligent manufacturing and Industry 4.0, iNexBot will play an increasingly important role in the industrial control field. We look forward to a future in which every robot is backed by iNexBot's solid technical support.
