Dispensing Process Overview
Dispensing refers to applying adhesive or potting compound onto a product that needs to be sealed, in order to fix and seal the product.
Traditional dispensing is usually performed by operators using a manual glue gun or syringe to dispense adhesive while controlling the flow rate and position of the glue. The drawback of this method is that it is only suitable for simple dispensing tasks and small-scale production, and cannot guarantee dispensing success rate or improve dispensing speed.
Automated dispensing refers to using automated equipment such as robots for dispensing. Through programming and precise control, high-precision and high-efficiency dispensing can be achieved. Automated dispensing is commonly used in large-scale production and for complex dispensing requirements.
Application Categories and Function Overview
Dispensing applications can be classified by configuration into: five-axis linkage precision dispensing, high-speed dispensing machines, inline/desktop dispensing machines, and robot-arm dispensing.
Dispensing equipment can be broken down by function into the executive mechanism, the drive mechanism, and the control system:
- The executive mechanism performs the dispensing operation.
- The drive mechanism helps the executive mechanism complete dispensing more accurately and at higher quality.
- The control system executes control over the entire system.

iNexBot Dispensing Workstation Overview
Independently developed by iNexBot, a complete turnkey automated-dispensing solution is provided for customers. iNexBot is committed to delivering high-quality and stable automated dispensing systems for 3C manufacturing and the automotive-electronics industry. The dispensing workstation consists of a vision module, a safety-component module, a dispensing-valve module, and a sensor module. Glue-dispensing control modes support PLC / PWM / IO.
The workstation supports automatic glue wiping, automatic needle alignment, and automatic calibration. Trajectory-control precision can reach 0.001 mm.
iNexBot Dispensing Workflow
A typical iNexBot dispensing workstation workflow is:
Power-on → Manual start → Place workpiece → Vision inspection of the workpiece position → Start dispensing → Finish dispensing → Vision inspection of dispensing result → End of dispensing.
